Ideal Setech celebrates 10 year anniversary.
Street smarts, a little luck, a Cadillac and the will to succeed were the elements that Frank Venegas Jr. used to found Ideal Steel in 1979. While working as general manager for Smede Son Steel in Redford, Michigan, Venegas bought a $150 raffle ticket at the Livingston County Builders Association Ball, an investment that at the time, he could barely afford. His ticket turned out to be lucky, and he won a brand new Cadillac Coupe deVille. Venegas drove his new Cadillac for a week then sold the car and started Ideal Steel.
Now part of the Ideal Group, Venegas oversees seven companies and employs more than 400 people. The divisions include; Ideal Shield, Ideal Contracting, Ideal Setech, Ideal Setech Share the Spare, Ideal Surplus, Ideal Utility Services. Venegas formed the Ideal Group to offer full service facility management capabilities to facilities throughout the U.S.
Grossing approximately over $230 Million dollars in sales, Venegas has earned the reputation as one of the most influential Hispanic business leaders in the United States. Venegas’ commitment is not just to business, he is equally committed to the people of the business community. He admits that one of the toughest challenges in business is getting the right people to do a job, a reality that blends beautifully with his interest in helping others.
